What are your fees?
Prices are always competitive at £280 for 1½ hours & £360 for 2¼ hours, and you will not incur the extra fee that is charged if you book an act through an agency which can be as much as 25%.
Why choose SaxAppeal in preference to others?
Not wishing to blow my own Trumpet (actually Sax!), but professionalism & years of experience guarantee a great service (as shown by my customer feedback), & you're assured that you'll always get the very best value for money.
Can I view your show before booking?
Bookings are generally private functions so it is not always possible to view, but, to overcome this, occasional performces at Wedding Fayres are announced on this website.
Do you accept First Dance Requests?
First dance requests can be considered, but given that your first dance song is very special, it is often a better to play the original on CD for you as some songs don't lend themselves to a solo rendition.
What sort of venues have you played at?
At a wide variety of venues from pubs to large country mansions, theatres, halls, hotel function rooms, museums......just about everywhere! It is no problem to perform in marquees or outdoors if the weather allows it.
Do you charge extra for PA & Lighting? or anything else?
Very rarely - there are no additional costs unless parking is not included at your venue, ie. City/Central London type bookings, but this is extremely rare. If your venue is outside a 75 mile radius of London Heathrow Aiport, a small adjustment would be requested to help towards extra time & travel costs incurred.
How long do you need to set up, and when do you set up?
It is essential that there is sufficient time to set up and soundcheck, which takes between ½ & 1 hour, dependent on what level of equipment is required. If lighting is also requested, setup time will increase.
How long do you play for?
A usual performance is either 1½ hours or 2¼ hours, which would normally be made up of 1, 2 or 3 sets.
How far can you travel?
Travel within a 75 mile radius of London Heathrow Airport is included in my fee, but further afield can be considered.
Is your equipment tested & are you insured?
All equipment is PAT Tested to current Health and Safety Regulations (http://www.pat-testing.info/) and all electrical equipment is laid out as neatly and safely as possible. Current Public Liability Insurance is also held.
